Overview

The Weekend Clean-up’s position plays an important role in contributing to the efficient operation of equipment and providing a safe and clean work place for workers as well as minimizes down time and risk of fire. Weekend Clean-up’s main function is to prepare equipment for operation by removing dust and debris in and around machine sections. Various hand tools will be used such as shovels, brooms, and air hoses to facilitate clean up. You will also be required to operate the bobcat and bucket loader for larger clean up jobs.

Job Duties:

• Prepare equipment for operation by removing dust and debris in and around machines.
• Operate bobcat and bucket loader for larger clean up jobs
• Empty sawdust and chip bins
• Blow down beams, pipes, motors, gearboxes, hydraulic units and walls
• Assist millwrights with repairs if requested

Physical Demands:

• Entry level jobs are very active and you should be prepared to be on your feet for the duration of your day
• Working indoors and outdoors
• Regular lifting and periodically up to 60lbs may occur. There are numerous stairs to climb and also using various hand tools
• Working conditions may be both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions

Schedule:

• Thursday to Sunday
• 6:00 am to 5:30 pm
• 11 hr shifts

Wages & Benefits:

• Entry level wage is $27.71
• Group Benefits commence at 3 months, weekend premium may apply, pension plans, safety equipment supplied, etc.
• Key position rates can go as high as $35.48/hr
