Job Summary:
Working under the direction of the Director of Operations, the Receptionist is responsible to greet people arriving
at the office and direct them to the appropriate person or service, operate a telephone system and, screen and
forward telephone calls, scan invoices, take messages and perform other clerical duties when needed.


Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities:
• Greet people entering the office, answer questions and direct visitors to appropriate people or services.
• Answer, screen and forward telephone calls, schedule appointments, take messages and provide information
when required
• Maintain a current record of staff members’ whereabouts
• Accept messenger and courier deliveries, pick up and send mail as needed
• Perform other clerical duties such as word processing, compiling and recording data, maintaining files and
inventories, scanning and emailing, operating office equipment and sorting and distributing mail or deliveries
• Potential for assisting in entering some payments into Xyntax
• Any and all other duties as assigned


Education, Skills & Qualifications:

• Alberta High School Diploma an asset
• Experience in a Receptionist/Administrative role an asset
• Computer knowledge (Microsoft Office)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Exceptional telephone manners
• Related training or experience in dealing with the public
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Good listening skills
• Friendly and outgoing personality
• Tact and ability to stay calm during busy periods and when callers are persistent or rude
• Good organizational skills
• A genuine interest in people and helping others


Employment Conditions
• Must be fluent in the Stoney Language
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
• Monday to Friday 10:00am to 3:00pm office hours (subject to change)
• Flexibility to support co-workers to provide backup when necessary. May cover for other positions during sick
vacation or bereavement leave as outlined by the Administration
• Punctuality and Attendance: Consistent attendance is essential. Prompt notification of absences to the Manager
is mandatory
