The Frizzly Paw Brewing Company is a craft brewery and brewpub located in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. Situated in the town of  Canmore, the Grizzly paw pub & brewing Company has been in operation since 1996. Our brewing operations include a 20,000 square foot landmark brewery, a pub, restaurant, taproom , and event space.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Accountant is a key member of our Administration team and a trusted steward of the numbers that keep our brewery, two restaurants, and retail operations flowing smoothly. This role is perfect for someone who loves details as much as they love a well-run operation. can make confident decisions, and enjoys bring part of a collaborative, hands-on environment.

You’ll be based out of our brewing facility but will need the flexibility to support all locations as required. Strong communication and relationship-building skills are essential, as this rile works closely with colleagues, customers, vendors and government bodies. A sense of ownership, curiosity, and a good sense of humour will take you far here- after all, we’d workfor a brewery.

DUTIES & RESPPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with the preparations of monthly financial statements, including related reports and schedules
  • Prepare and post journal entries and complete balance sheet reconciliations
  • Maintain and monitor accounts receivable to ensure timely and accurate collections
  • Prepare and manage group function invoicing
  • Receive, record, and reconcile beer and soda payments, including direct payments and AGLC remittances
  • Preform banking activities, reconciliations, and accurate transaction recording
  • Review wholesale invoicing to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Prepare weekly and monthly management reports to supports operational and strategic decisions
  • Assist wirth adult preperations, including gathering schedules and supporting documentation
  • Maintain clear, accurate records and a strong audit trail while following company policies and procedures
  • Provide support and training to accounting and administrative colleagues as required
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships across all departments
  • Be ready and willing to work in a service‑oriented role, which may include direct interaction with customers, vendors, and external partners
  • Follow all required Health, Safety, Prevention, and Sanitation procedures at all times
  • Consider the environmental impact of decisions and support sustainable business practices
  • Pitch in on special projects and lend a hand wherever needed—because teamwork makes the beer taste better
  • Complete other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 1-2 years’ experience in accounting or related field
  • Extensive knowledge of the craft beer industry and a passion for all things beer.
  • Strong knowledge with a variety of software programs required: Microsoft Office, EKOS, Quickbooks, Toast, etc.
  • Degree or certification in Accounting or related discipline a strong asset
  • Detail oriented with the ability to be flexible and work well under pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with strong written and verbal communication abilities
