The Stoney Nation Job Resource Center change provides educational, training and employment services to members of Stoney Nation. Through these services we support our community and the surrounding areas by providing skilled workers for local employers.

For those searching for jobs, we provide intensive training opportunities. Staff also assist clients with resume writing, practicing for interviews, and with other related job search needs. As well, computer work stations are available for members to access job-related information on the internet, type a resume or conduct job search.

For employers looking for qualified employees, we host an annual career fair, invite you to host information sessions and post jobs. We’ll also work with you one on one to help meet your needs.

The Stoney Nation Job Resource Center is operated by the Stoney Tribal Administration in collaboration with the Bearspaw, Chiniki and Wesley bands.

Lionel Crow Spreads His Wings

Program Manager

Growing up, Lionel spent his time between the Blood Tribe and Morley, AB. He is related to many people, including his extended family in Eden Valley. He was gifted with a traditional upbringing and knowledge along with modern educational opportunities. After graduation from high school, Lionel enrolled in Civil Engineering in 1993. He became Bearspaw’s first Emergency Medical Technician in 1998. His participation in the medical field inspired others to choose this as a career, and he was instrumental in bringing Nakoda EMS ambulance services to Morley. His recent work involves training and capacity building in Morley, Eden Valley and surrounding areas. More recently, Lionel has received professional training from the Banff Centre in Indigenous Leadership and Management. He has taken courses in Strategic Planning, Good Governance for Indigenous Councils and Boards as well as Business and Economic Development.
